With an MSc in Counselling and a BSc in Forensic Science and additional training in CBT practice, PTSD and trauma, substance and behavioural addiction, and sight loss counselling, Sona is a highly experienced practitioner with a broad and detailed skillset, who understands that starting therapy can feel uncertain.
Working with adults who often feel overwhelmed by inner noise - whether through anxiety, grief, self-worth or identity confusion, Sona is experienced suppporting clients through life transitions, relationships, burnout, neurodiversity, overcoming past experiences or with unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour.
Sona creates a safe, gentle space to explore these struggles without pressure. Together, she helps individuals uncover the “why” behind their difficulties, offering the clarity and choice needed to move forward with greater confidence.
Her approach is trauma-informed, integrative and flexible, drawing on Person-Centred Therapy, creative and expressive methods, and body-based grounding techniques. This allows Sona's sessions to adapt to each client’s unique needs - whether through conversation, creativity, or quiet reflection.
At the heart of Sona's approach is a commitment to meeting people where they are, walking alongside them as they reconnect with their own inner strength and resilience.
