Shannon is a Therapeutic Play Practitioner who understands that feelings can be confusing and overwhelming for children. When emotions feel difficult to manage, they may show up in bigger behaviours, or be hidden altogether. With Shannon, all feelings are welcome.

Working with children experiencing low self-esteem, anxiety, separation anxiety, emotional dysregulation, withdrawn behaviours, people-pleasing patterns, and sibling challenges (particularly siblings of children with additional needs,) Shannon supports children with mild-to-moderate social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Highly experienced, Shannon is able to work closely with neurodivergent clients, especially girls who may be masking autism and their needs.

Using a non-directive, integrative holistic Play Therapy approach, through metaphor, creativity, and a carefully designed therapeutic toolkit, children are encouraged to lead their sessions using play and expressive modalities. This child-led process allows for the development of a trusting therapeutic relationship, where children can explore both conscious and subconscious experiences safely and at their own pace. Sessions are informed by nervous system awareness, polyvagal theory, and attachment-focused approaches, helping children build emotional regulation and resilience.

With a background in Early Years and a BA (Hons) in Integrated Working with Children and Families, Shannon is passionate about providing a safe, low-demand space where children feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow.
