Kerry takes an integrative approach to her support, drawing from person-centred therapy, Gestalt, CBT, psychodynamic thinking, and Transactional Analysis to support both children and adults navigating life’s emotional challenges.
An integrative counsellor, she understands how overwhelming it can feel to carry anxiety, grief, loneliness, low mood, or uncertainty, especially when those feelings are difficult to understand or put into words.
Many of Kerry’s clients arrive feeling exhausted, unsure of themselves, or simply in need of a safe space to talk and be heard. Working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, boundary struggles, identity questions, fear of ageing or death, and bereavement, Kerry helps explore the connection between past experiences, present emotions, and patterns of behaviour. She believes that when people begin to understand their story differently, meaningful change can follow.
When working with children, Kerry incorporates creative tools such as sand tray, clay, playdough, and sensory materials to support emotional expression. She encourages awareness of how emotions are experienced in the body, helping clients of all ages connect more deeply with their feelings.
Kerry values warmth, honesty, and humour within the therapeutic relationship, creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and accepted, and believes that having one consistent, caring person to hold your story can be a powerful step towards a person's healing.
