Karine is an enthusiastic and dedicated child psychotherapist, recognised for her fun-loving, quirky, and loyal nature.
She brings warmth, creativity, and a playful spirit to her work, creating a safe and engaging environment where children feel comfortable to express themselves freely. Her bubbly, approachable demeanour allows her to build strong, trusting relationships with young clients.
Karine’s diverse experience spans across a range of therapeutic and care settings. She has worked as a nursery worker, a dance movement psychotherapist in mainstream primary schools, and in mental health hospitals, including High Cross Hospital, Arden Lee Hospital, and New Leaf Recovery Centre’s mother and baby unit. Her background also includes supporting clients in dementia care homes and using movement therapy in addiction recovery. She currently serves as a creative arts therapist with the Murray Hall Community Team.
Karine’s therapeutic approach is integrative and holistic, drawing from person-centred practice, developmental theory, and attachment theory. She incorporates a wide range of creative modalities such as art, play, movement, role play, and storytelling to tailor her support to each child’s unique personality and needs.
Deeply passionate about helping children grow into confident and resilient individuals, Karine is committed to empowering them through effective communication, self-expression, and self-discovery. Her goal is to inspire and support each young person on their journey to becoming the best version of themselves.
