Emily is an experienced child and adolescent counsellor who specialises in supporting young people experiencing anxiety, school refusal, social withdrawal, and unusual behaviours. Her therapeutic style is integrative and creative, drawing on a range of approaches to meet each child’s individual needs.

Using art, play, and other expressive techniques, Emily engages children and teenagers in a way that feels safe and accessible. She believes in the power of storytelling and self-expression as tools for healing, helping young people make sense of their experiences, past and present.

The therapeutic relationship is central to Emily’s work. She places great importance on building trust and emotional safety, creating a space where young people feel secure enough to explore their emotions and develop new, healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

Emily holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counselling, an MSc in Applied Psychology, and a BSc in Psychology. She also holds Level 3 Safeguarding certification and has an enhanced DBS check. Her clinical experience includes roles at Beam Sandwell, The Children’s Society, Place2Be, BITA Pathways, Prohealth UK, and Newman Health and Wellbeing, where she has supported children, adolescents, and adults through both individual and group counselling.

Emily offers flexible emotional support through phone, video, and group sessions. Whether through short-term focused work or long-term therapy, she is committed to helping young people access the support they need to grow in resilience, confidence, and emotional well-being.
